Quidditch is a mixed gender team sport that has been adopted from the Harry Potter series. It mixes elements from a variety of sports such as rugby, dodgeball, handball and flag football. The goal of the game is to score the most points by throwing the quaffle into the hoops and by catching the snitch. During a game, players must be careful to stay mounted on their brooms and avoid/defend themselves from the bludgers.
How do you play?
There are a total of 7 players on each team. The 3 chasers handle the quaffle which is used to score points. With the help of the keeper, they throw the quaffle into the hoops, and they defend their hoops from their opponents. Meanwhile, the 2 beaters handle the bludgers. Any player that is hit by a bludger is temporarily unable to play and so the beaters use the bludgers to defend their team and attack their opponents. Finally, the seeker chases the snitch. When the seeker catches the snitch, they secure points for their team and they also mark the end of the game.
